The Board has adopted Board Policy 9323(b) to ensure the public's right to be heard on any matters pertaining to the San Marino Unified School District. We respectfully request that if you would like to address the Board of Education about any matter, you complete a REQUEST TO ADDRESS THE BOARD card and submit it to the Superintendent prior to the start of the meeting or to the Assistant to the Superintendent during the meeting. The President of the Board will invite speakers to the podium to address the Board during discussion of the relevant agenda item. Comments concerning matters not on the agenda may be heard at this time, but not responded to by the Board of Education. Five minutes may be allotted to each speaker and a maximum of 20 minutes to each subject matter.

A presentation on the construction progress and budget for the Barth Athletics Complex project, which is a 27,000 s.f. facility including a new full-size gymnasium, boys and girls locker rooms and restrooms, a fitness center, two state-of-the-art media classrooms, and a multi-purpose room. It is recommended that the Board of Education approve a transfer of $6,029.72 from the General Fund 01.0 to the Health Benefits Fund 17.0. These funds represent reimbursement from American Fidelity for the District's Section 125 Program. In accordance with bargaining unit agreements, any excess funds received are set aside in the Health Benefits Fund to offset future premium increases in health benefit costs.
