The Board has adopted Board Policy 9323(b) to ensure the public's right to be heard in any matters pertaining to the San Marino Unified School District. We respectfully request that if you would like to address the Board of Education about any matter, you complete a REQUEST TO ADDRESS THE BOARD card and submit it to the Superintendent or the Assistant to the Superintendent prior to the start of the meeting. The audio for this meeting is recorded. The President of the Board will invite speakers to the podium to address the Board. Five minutes may be allotted to each speaker and a maximum of 20 minutes to each subject matter.

A Public Hearing on Resolution No. 12 - 2018-19 Resolution of the Board of Education of the San Marino Unified School District Calling for an Election for Voter Approval to Renew an Education Parcel Tax on May 14, 2019 Establishing Specifications of the Election Order. This is a Second Reading. Note that such Election will only proceed if the District’s Measure R Election to renew the District’s education parcel tax is not approved by at least two-thirds of voters in the District at the election scheduled on February 26, 2019.

It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the District's preliminary plan for the Low Performing Student Block Grant. The District is eligible to receive grant funding totaling $43,473 to support and assist students who are low performing. There are approximately 22 students identified that qualify for services associated with this funding. The proposed plan (attached) would provide for supplemental services for the identified students. It is recommended that the Board of Education approve an interfund transfer of $838,000 from the Cash Flow Fund 17.2 to the Capital Projects and Improvement Fund 40.0.
