If you would like to speak to the Board about a topic that IS on the agenda, please fill out the card and hand it to the Assistant to the Superintendent now or no later than when the agenda topic is called by the Board President. The Board will not hear Public Comment once discussion of the particular agenda topic by the Board has begun.

Having formed a Facilities Advisory Committee to review, assess, and evaluate the District's deferred maintenance needs, safety and security improvements, and facility improvement upgrades, and financing options and alternatives, and having reviewed submitted applications, the Board will select persons with expertise and experience in areas related to construction, design, management, state and county regulations, legal matters, and financing, to name a few, ideally with representation from District administration, teachers, staff, students, parents, and the San Marino community.

It is recommended that the Board of Education approve the District's preliminary plan for the Low Performing Student Block Grant.

The District is eligible to receive grant funding totaling $43,473 to support and assist students who are low performing. There are approximately 22 students identified that qualify for services associated with this funding. The proposed plan (attached) would provide for supplemental services for the identified students. If approved by the Board of Education, the application will be submitted to the California Department of Education.
