The Board of Education has adopted Board Policy 9323(b) to ensure the public's right to be heard in any matters pertaining to the San Marino Unified School District. Person(s) who wish to provide public comment will have three options to submit public comments: Submit through an Online Form Request to Speak During the Meeting Using Chat Request to Speak During the Meeting via Phone Dial-in
Submit through an Online Form The public may submit public comments for the open or closed session on April 28, 2020, from 12:00 PM (noon) through 5:00 PM. Comments received during this time will be read during the meeting by staff. The reading of the comment will be limited to 5 minutes [per comment], with a maximum of 20 minutes total allocated per topic. This equates to approximately 750 words long. Please submit comments on the online form at https://bit.ly/smusd428. Request to Speak During the Meeting Using Chat Person(s) who wish to provide public comment may type a request for public comment in the chat section of the online meeting. Requestors will provide their name, address, phone number, and the agenda item they wish to speak in the chat message prior to the agenda item being discussed. The order of public comments will be determined during the meeting. The amount of time each person(s) may speak during the public comment section will remain limited to a maximum of 5 minutes each and 20 minutes total per topic. Request to Speak During the Meeting via Phone Dial-in Requests for public comment may also be made from those who dial in on the phone when the Board President announces the Board of Education is taking requests. Public speakers will be asked to unmute themselves during the public comment period. If the phone is muted by the host, the dial-in participants may press * (STAR) 6 to unmute themselves. The order of public comment will be determined during the meeting. The amount of time each person(s) may speak during the public comment section will remain limited to a maximum of 5 minutes each and 20 minutes total per topic.

The San Marino Unified School District Board of Education proudly recognizes the Huntington Middle School Math Team and its coach, Jose Caire, for its First Place victory in this year's MATHCOUNTS Regional Competition in February 2020. Founded over 30 years ago by the National Society of Professional Engineers, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, and CNA Insurance, MATHCOUNTS is a prestigious nationwide middle school math competition that aims to ignite a lifelong love for learning math.
